Two Days in a Row! Ok, it's true! I'm hooked! Guess what I received in my email today? (see previous post)...
Hi RiverRed, Your clip Hidden Program In Windows XP was a top clip on clipmarks.com today.
It was popped by 76 people, making it the day's #5 Most Popular Clip.
Clip On!
Ok, so I'm in ... someone tell me, where do I sign up again?

I'm a Top #5 Clipper!! Gosh I feel so excited today! I'm not even a famous blogger (nor a regular blogger as far as that goes!) as I've grown to know others to be, but today I got some fantastic news! Check this out, I got an email today from Clipmarks that said... "Hi RiverRed, Your clip Hidden Program In Windows XP was a top clip on clipmarks.com today.
It was popped by 10 people, making it the day's #5 Most Popular Clip.
Clip On!"Dang, did I feel special! According to their website, Clipmarks claims to be "a user-powered news and knowledge web site. Users post the most interesting bits of information they find on the web and the community determines which ones get the most visibility by popping their favorites to the top. What makes the content on Clipmarks unique is that instead of posting links to entire web pages, our clipping tool lets users extract pieces of compelling content from within pages and post those select pieces for everyone to see."I myself found it to be a handy little tool to just copy snippets of websites or blogs that I wanted to refer back to again. For being a newcomer to the blogging and social community world, that sure did give me a bit of a confidence boost! (Nevermind it only was only 'popped' by 10 people, *I* sure felt special!) Social Shopping Site of a Woman's Dreams I think I have just discovered the social shopping site of my dreams. Web 2.0 + woman's favorite pasttime (shopping) = Wists Social Shopping! With the popularity of Web 2.0 applications, this is one of those "now why didn't I think of that?' ideas. According to the Wist's weblog, the site was created to: " 1. To make finding well designed, interesting or unusual products and collectibles both simple and fun; and 2. To make publishing or sharing lists of recommendations and wishlists easier and more appealing than maintaining a weblog and not tied to one particular store.
Using Wists is not like going to Walmart or searching a price comparison shopping site - we try to encourage the discovery and promotion of products from small retailers and manufacturers and young designers." The best part of the site is that you can browse through other people's cool and funky wish items they have found along the way. Take for instance the Demonia SpoOky Canvas Tote Bag (who wouldn't want one of those?) or a Newspaper Crossword Puzzles Bracelet (bling bling baby!). And as all good good social sites should, they have an option of letting you add your wish list to your blog. Watch my list grow! How can you not love Clint Eastwood? I just finished watching High Plains Difter for the umpteenth time and it only renews my love for Clint Eastwood. Flipping through the channels, late at night, not much to watch other than infomercials, and there he is. No matter how old you are, you gotta watch an old Clint Eastwood movie. Arnold Schwarzenegger's "I'll be back" is nothing to Clint Eastwood's lines or facial expressions. Clint is the father and master of all. If you haven't watched an old western with Clint in it, do so today!! Current Mood: sleepy | | Thursday, November 9th, 2006 | | 2:24 am |
